Converting Diamonds into Upgraded Loot

This is just redonkulous, but it's an option. A good option? No idea, but it's an option.
You can convert diamonds into upgraded loot. How you ask? Here ya go...
- Go to GF > spend diamonds
- Convert your diamonds to loyalty points but save enough diamonds for the last step
- Go to GF > Loyalty Points
- Convert your loyalty points to loot tokens
- Go to GF > Loot tokens
- Buy some loot
- Go to Loot > Upgrades
- Upgrade your loot you just purchased
Someone let me know if this makes any sense to do. Any Mathematicians out there?
